These earrings are uniquely designed by John who loves to create beautiful pieces that bring together ancestral traditions with modern and contemporary designs.  The textiles incorporated in his creations are Wayuu textiles that are handmade by the women of the indigenous Wayuu community. These pieces reflect their beliefs and environment. It is a cultural practice and an inheritance from their ancestors. It is their way of conceiving and experiencing life as they feel and desire it. The Wayuu textile is easily recognizable by its colors and design and has become a traditional craft piece of Colombia. Wayuu weaving is one of the most complicated in the world as it is made using seven fingers of the hands for its elaboration.  An ethnical line that unites style and traditions.
