The filigree technique is very ancient and has been used for millennia in various part of the world but the Colombian’s have a very particular style that was adapted and developed by locals in Mompox ( a small colonial town close to the Caribbean).

Making filigree is like making a puzzle. Everything is done by hand, piece by piece then soldered together.
